I am finishing the chassis restoration of my 1968 400HP Corvette... just two questions. Can someone give me a PMS(Pantone) number for the grey of the shock absorbers? What about the oil pressure fitting in the block. The aim shows a brass "straight" fitting with 3 holes. On my engine I found a 45 degree brass fitting with two openings: one goes in the block, one goes to the fuel pressure meter. Wich one is correct, and in the first case, for what purpose is the third opening?
I have run an original ( NOS )shock through a color meter and computer (I am in the paint business). I have the reading for LAB values if you really want them, but I have found that the paint that "Corvette Fanatics" sells is as close as the factory ever got. Forget anything else if you are looking for perfection, this paint is close. Long Islong has wrong color and gloss and I think they supply everone else CC, Paragon, Zip, ETC. These guys also sell top (front shock)washers and rear nuts that are very good also. Sorry I don't have their address but they are at Carlisle, I am sure.

Do you know if the gray paint that Corvette Fanatics sells for 68 shocks is the right gray for 66 shocks as well? Also, do you have an address or phone number for Corvette Fanatics?
