The judging manual calls for "U" shaped clips securing the parking brake cable to the frame and "mickey mouse" clips at the trailing arms. The assembly manual indicates all four clips the same, "micky mouse" shaped clips. Which is judged as correct?

Re: '67 PARKING BRAKE CABLE TO FRAME CLIPS

Interesting - the A.I.M. sheet added the "Mickey Mouse" clip at the trailing arm (never shown in previous A.I.M.'s), and changed the clip illustraton at the frame from the previously-shown U-clip to the "Mickey Mouse" clip, both changes made on 2/23/67. It would appear that the JG description is in error.
Change #7 revised the illustration to add the clip to the trailing arm, and change #8 changed the clip illustration at the frame from "U" to "MM"; however, the part number (3875082) never changed. This says the "MM" clip was released originally, and only the incorrect illustration was changed. Key point is that the part number never changed (the MM clip was always specified/released) - only the illustration was wrong.
For judging credit, go with the JG; this should be addressed in the next edition of the JG.- Top
