I've looked in the assembly manual, but I'm still not clear exactly how the positive battery cable is routed leaving the solenoid in order to keep it away from the manifold. I assume it initially needs to be tightly run along side the solenoid, rearward to keep away from the exhaust manifold and pipe. Is there a more clear picture of its' routing somewhere? (I do not have the battery and heat shield in place yet, perhaps that will help me understand the routing)

Re: '67 BATTERY POSITIVE CABLE ROUTING
The positive cable runs thru a clip that is attached to the heat shield to hold it against the heat shield and away from the exhaust manifold.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: '67 BATTERY POSITIVE CABLE ROUTING
The battery cable and other solenoid wiring is run thru a clip, #3856490, that is snapped onto the solenoid on BB cars. The battery cable then passes thru a "J" clip riveted to the firewall below the heater box and up to the battery post from the rear side of the battery (firewall Side). There is no clip mounted (2 holes exist) on the battery heat shield itself on a BB car.
Check your AIM on page UPC L36 A16.

Re: '67 BATTERY POSITIVE CABLE ROUTING
Steve, I ran the solenoid wires thru the clip/bracket on the solenoid but didn't think there was enough room to run the battery cable thru it also. Should all the wires and the cable go thru the clip?
Thanks,

Re: '67 BATTERY POSITIVE CABLE ROUTING
That is the way the AIM shows it, with the battery and smaller wires thru the clip.
