that goes on the gas tank cover to protect the soft top, anybody have a little more info on how it is positioned etc? The AIM shows it (Sect. C, Sheet 1.00)
but no detail on how it is positioned. I couldn't find any info in the TIM but I could have missed it. Thanks. Pat G.
I centered mine, front to back and side to side. No help from the TIM&JG. I installed it with 3M spray adhesive. I probably took more pains with it than the original installers.
Centered side to side--fore and aft starts pretty much at the horizontal surface immediately behind the back seat, extends across the gas tank screws, and ends a little short of the trunk bulkhead.
