Camaro Question

Hello everyone. I have a 78 Vette, but have a Camaro question. You guys are really good, so I am wondering if someone knows the answer. Here it is.... A quick way to tell a 1968 Camaro from a 1967 is to look for the side marker lights and the side wing windows are found on the 67. I recently saw a 1967 for sale (that should be minus the side marker lights) and was told the reason it had them was that the car was built for export to Canada and 1967 models were required to have them up north. Does anyone know if this is true? Every 1967 that I have ever seen did not have the side marker lights.

Chip. My experience is the same as yours - no side markers on a '67. Never heard of the Canada requirement. They do tell you at the border to remember that you are entering a foreign country ;-)

These guys are all correct and just so you know,my bro traced his 67 SS/RS back the original dealer in Neepawa, Manitoba, Canada...his car does not have the 68 side markers.

Those are aftermarket marker lights - none were ever installed on any '67 Camaro; we reviewed this car when it was listed previously over at the CRG (Camaro Research Group) site ( www.camaros.org ).
