Also, the Paragon catalog lists mirrors for sale in several fashions: rebuild the original core you supply, take their reproduction unit, or buy a restored original.

Thanks again, Jack, I believe according to the judging manuel mid built 63 have dated glass, cast backing with no word guide. This is a response received from Carol. The sales person at Paragon could not help me. On my early 63 coupe, we found a beautiful mirror at the Bloomington event. Later mirrors must be harder to find than early mirrors. Now if I could find out exactly how the date stamp should read, ie 3,4,or 5-DMI-3? My car was built from parts supplied by the low bidders on June 10, 1963.

Jerry,

Your 63 should have the cast mirror and it should be dated either 4DMI3 or 5DMI3 depending on the time in June your 63 was made.

Earlier mirrors are easier to find because they were on passenger cars similar to the situation with the outside mirror.

This is the information needed, thank you. Where can I buy a mid year inside mirror with the date code 5-DMI-3? The mirror in my car is not the correct style and it is time to make the change.

Jerry: I think you will have to take it step by step, because it it is highly unlikely you will be lucky enough to find the correct mirror with the correct dated glass. When you get the correct style mirror frame you can replace the glass with the correct dated glass (5 DMI 3)which is available from Paragon. Len

Ok, bought a repro from Paragon until I can find an original mid year 63 inside mirror. Paragon will date the mirror 5-DMI-3. It looks like the original mirror?

Jerry: I replaced my inside and outside mirror glass on my '63 last August. I got the dated glass at Carlisle from Paragon, and they are a good match. Len
