C2 Protecto-Plate codes

Can any one give me information on how to decode my Protecto-Plate for my 67. I know the obvious codes paint, body, VIN. Website or publications would be helpful.

They are carried in old Chevy parts books, what in particular are you looking for?

Under the interior/paint code is V0605HTH and under that is P7H08 and under the VIN is AM0605W. Thanks,Rick

V...is engine production code P.... is transmission production code AM...is rear axle code, prefix letters (AM) Production date numbers 0605 (June 5th) and axle plant (Warren).

Thanks Bill and Bill. Does the HTH after theV0605 refer to the engine code at all? The engine is a 350 hp, HT engine code. Rick

Yes, the engine code, I believe followed by a space and the carb code, H for Holley carb.
