Anyone tried Corvette Central's replacement firewall insulation? It is a ABS plastic with a medium embossed leather grain. If no one has tried it, does anyone know of a decent replacement? Thanks, Joe DeLuca #37862

original c-1 firewall insulation was not PLASTIC( was cardboard primarily) so if its to be judged, chech with corvete products of michigan as i think they repop the correct cardboard insulation. mike -

At the present i have waited for firewall insulation for a year from C/C the co Northern Star is the problem , he or they is not even answering the phone , the company that produces the plastic reproduction is timm at Quiet Ride Solutions , they are on the web,and they answer the phone , you might want to call and just check. But as stated they are a light and sturdy plastic back with deadener , they also produce pre-cut sound insulation , nicely done sets .Comment

Hi Joe.I just bought the firewall insulation from corvette central for my 1962 vette.It's just like the original.No....ABS.plastic..It's of cardboard type material bonded on the insulation.If yours is of plastic,call them up about it.I just recieved my the 6th of Jan.
