62' Top

I have a 62' with a new top that was installed prior to my purchase of the car. I'm not happy with the fit and function of the top and I don't know the manufactures name, but I want to replace it with what I hope to be a higher quality top. My first flight judging will be in June so I'd like to have the new top by then and a top that will display the intent of as manufactured by Chevrolet. Does anyone have experence with this? and can they help me?

Bill,

I had concerns about the soft top fit on my 59. The problem was the presence of a reproduction frame and not with the installation. Repro frames just don't take the top like an original. To my knowledge Al Knoch makes the best reproduction top available. I'm suggesting you be sure about the frame as a new top may not look much better than what you currently have if you in fact have a reproduction frame. My 61 has an original frame and a well installed Al Knoch top and it fits perfect.
