I'm getting ready to have my 58 corvette body painted. I have the DuPont acrylic lacquers snowcrest white and inca silver. My problem is that i've moved from the north to the outer banks of NC. I need to find an NCRS quality paint shop somewhere in a reasonable distance--if possible. I'm trying to avoid the long trip back north, but if i must--i must!!! Has any ncrs members had "superior quality" work done by any shop in this area??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, john kosemple ncrs#1211

Re: PAINT SHOP-ACRYLIC LACQUER in Va/NC ?
John, there is a Corvette restoration shop very close to you. the WEb site is:
He has an extensive collection of parts, he does restorations/repair on parts as well as complete body off restoration. I stop there on my way to OBX to fish in the fall. I have seen several cars in process, but I have not seen a completed car. I think he is about 20 miles from Kitty Hawk.
Good luck.

Re: How far would you transport a car for paint&bo
Zane has had owners bring bodies to maryland from the far west and the deep south but most of his customers are east coasters.he's currently doing an original 58 big brake fi vette. also does Paul Newman frame type street rod vettes as well as ncrs type resto work.I'm lucky in that he's 25 or 30 miles east of cumberland. mike- Top
