    Rear Stabilizer Bar 1961

The body, engine and transmission have been removed from the 61 and I am now turning my attention to the chassis. I started to remove the rear stabilizer bar and twisted off one of the bolts that hold the stabilizer bar bracket to the shock absorber-spring mounting plate. I stopped and applied penetrating oil to the other bolts for the ??? time. How are these bolts or studs secured to the mounting plate?

    Thanks for the help!

Ray - I believe they are welded in place, and can be repaired. Recall an older Restorer article that dealt directly with that issue. Dennis
