        Chuck,

Tony and others are giving you good info, but a picture is worth a lot. See me at a meet & I'll show you. how to lower them. I am glad Tony decided to try with words, because I was at a loss.

To all: be careful of the micro switches for the headlamp warning system. They are tempting to use to raise and lower the headlights, but they are plastic and break easily.

        Terry

Thanks Tony and Roberto; I tried both ways and they both worked. It was really pretty easy once I learned where to "push". Thanks to both of you. Chuck

Hi Terry; There are at least several thousand other tricks that you can show me! You've forgotten more about these cars than I'll ever know. Thanks for all of your help. Chuck

                        Chuck,

I bet Terry to the punch and will stop by next door and show you, when I get home. It is simple. Your neighbor and Corvette friend.

                        To others,

Chuck and I were researching this problem on my '68 and I found that there are two other possible problems areas wher you can create a vacumn hose problem. Both can be the result of working on some other area of the car. First, I took out the washer bottle to clean and when I replaced it, I knocked loose the headlight hose connection under the passenger side fender well. Second, I replaced the turn signal switch and when reconnecting the wires and adjusting placement, I knock off the vacumn hose for the wiper door. Good luck.
