    Belt Installation Help

Installing belts on a '66 BB with PS and AC. Have a two groove pully on the crankshaft and a three groove pully on the water pump. Belt needs to go over the rear crankshaft pully and the rear goove of the water pump pully. I could use some installation tips!!

Just did this. Take the fan clutch/blade assembly off. 4 bolts hold it and the pulley on the water pump. put belt on desired groove (the inner one) on bottom (crank) pulley and the now free pulley (water pump) you're holding in your hand. At this point I put the water pump pulley on the pump shaft to align the 4 bolt holes and then started all 4 bolts. Remove the 4 bolts and replaced the clutch/fan. As the bolts are retightened the pulley will align and belt will be tight. Providing you have the correct belt it's real simple. Reguards Blake
