    Yes, the Crower Sportsmans are sold in weight matched sets and need nothing other than giving one to your balancer. When you compare the cost of inspection, new bolts, resizing, and shotpeening a new or used late design OE rod, the cost will probably be comparable.

      Reference your comment on using as much compression as possible, I built a "hand grenade with the pin pulled" about 25 years ago. Trick flow heads, carrillo 6.050 rods, crane roller, etc. Using pop ups .008 out of the block. Used a .040 composition gasket. Compression was 13.45. Was a virtual screamer

          I believe it was VP? I have a good friend that runs a NHRA Pro Stock and would get the fuel from him. I know that it was good for an extra .1 or so at Daytona for qualifying until NASCAR got wise to it.
