Power booster rod to pedal adjustment - help!

There have been several posts on this over the years, but no clear answer. I just installed a new booster on my 67 SB. The rod going to the brake pedal is marginally too short. In the posts this appears to be a commonly mention problem. With the clevis almost completely unscrewed, the pedal won't quite reach the rubber bumper stop. One thing I noticed is that there is nothing in the upper hole of the brake pedal. There was some mention in some posts about a special striker that goes there? Also, it is mentioned in the posts about brake pedal free play, but I don't see how with PB this applies since the rod to the booster is attached and not free like it is with manual brakes. Advice??

Re: Power booster rod to pedal adjustment - help!

I added a PB booster also to my 67 SB and just toke a look at how I did it. When I got the booster from Chicago Corvettes they also sent a little plate and nut and bolt.
The top hole has a flat plate with a %90 turned end about 1/2 wide , when installed it hits the bumper. The brake rod is then turned out to match the clutch pedal .
The little plate makes up the difference or distance of the brake rod ,as if it was still a Manuel brake unit. I also got a back up plate for mounting the two top bolts of the booster. I hope I made you understand this OK
