Interior Light Question

I have a 68 T-Top and would like to replace the interior lamp lenses found on the left and right pillar mouldings at slightly above shoulder level. They are plastic and measure approx. 1 inch wide by 5 or 6 inches long. I have not seen them in any catalogs I have. Does anyone have suggestions of aftermarket vendors or suppliers for this item? I've considered the same thing, mine have "yellowed", but am not convinced to yet take out the originals.

What you're asking for is a "one-of-a-year" kind of part. I haven't completely looked around, but there may be a replacement/reproduction for it in one of the supplier's catalogs. If not then I have had success with some original parts at Paragon Vintage. No reflection on Paragon, but be prepared to get your cash out from under your mattress, because original one-of-a-year parts will demand some money. Tom #24014

The last time I checked no one was making these lenses. As Tom pointed out, reproduction companies do not make parts with a limited market potential. Unfortunately, that applies to many, many parts on your 1968. The largest producer of GM lenses is Trim Parts in Ohio. They would be the best bet to try for new ones. Paragon or Corvette Central might have used ones. Good luck.
