Too bad Thumper was a '63 coupe that campaigned the IMSA trail through the '70s and early '80s. (Not Phil Currin's '63)

Doc, Open the Feb. issue of Hemmings and you will find "fast" Phil Currin`s `63 coupe for sale, but at $190K+ it will most likely be for sale for a long time.

Phast Phil's coupe has been for sale for a LONG time. Nothing against Phil, but $190,000 really is up there. Last I heard, it was around $125k. Of course leave it to Phil to do the opposite of everyone else, raise the price whn not selling rather than drop it.

Of course, it is real, it is fast, and he still goes out and puts on a good show in vintage events.

Don't forget document fees. Even More hype

Another way they sting you is the documentation fees. Those aren't the fees paid to the state, just the fees they charge to fill out the paperwork that they HAVE to do in order to sell a car, i.e., receipt, bill of sale, and title.

Pretty nervy for these dealers to charge $200 typically to sign the title over to you.
