BROKEN STARTER PIECE REMOVAL OPERATION SUCCESSFUL

I operated on the bellhousing last night, mirrors, wires, magnets, you name it. I retrieved the broken nose from the starter. It was in one piece, about 2 1/2", wedged against the clutch fork. I removed it through the starter opening in the bellhousing after a 2 hour surgery. Patient is doing well and I expect a full recovery. (I almost gave up and removed the transmission and bellhousing)
