    H20 PUMP REBUILD CAUTION

If you're having your H20 pump rebuilt, check that the bolts holding the back plate were tightened. My rebuilt engine started up without hesitation and runs excellent. I balanced the power steering valve per the responses I received on the discussion board, and everything is working fine. "Murphy's Law", however was not done yet. The H20 pump was leaking where the backing plate is attached. I checked the bolts I could reach on the rear plate and they were only hand tight. The shop that rebuilt it forgot to tighten the bolts. I'm very careful and usually check everything I have rebuilt before I install it, however I didn't check the bolts. Now I have to remove the pump and reinstall the plate properly. Once again, I thought my car was finished (I should have known better).
