C3 Vacuum Control Hose Nightmare

Help - I have replaced all the Vacuum hoses on my 69 BB and the only hose I have left unconnected is the small diameter hose from the firewall into the interior for the Heater & Astro vent vacuum control. According to the assembly manual you have to cut the Windshield Wiper Vacuum harness and insert a T fitting to provide vacuum to the interior systems.
There is no reference to the color of the hose to cut. I do not have A/C.
Am I correct to assume that I cut the smaller white hose that runs from the top of the Windshield Wiper Door Vacuum Relay to the Windshield wiper control switch and insert the T in that line?

I can't speak for non-AC cars, but I have done the same on my 70,71, and 73 AC cars. The "t" is an odd one -- I believe 1/4 on two ends and 1/8 on the feed to the interior. The cluster feed is the small one and comes out on the right side of the wiper motor from the firewall. Mine have always been solid black for feed and I believe a white stripe where I spliced. My thought is that this feed should be continous not ported or switched vacuum.

But it has been a while and I have always owned AC cars so there may be a difference....

Thanx Pat - I believe we are agreed on the the procedure and that I tap into the white feed with the black cluster feed from the interior. The lines are different sizes and my original coupler which I believe is factory is a small copper pipe which actually fits inside the bottom of the T.
