    C2 HELP

I just removed the 1/2 shafts from my 67. These appeared to have never been out and I had one of the ubolts stuck to the hole inside the side yoke that is passes through before the nut & l/w. Out of desperation I cut the u-bolt with my air grinder. I now have a piece of the ubolt stuck/rusted in the yoke (I got the nut & l/w off and cut that also. Any ideas on how to get this "stuck" piece out of the rear end side yoke? Liquid wrench for 2 weeks does not appear to have done anything, I have hit it with a center punch but not overall aggressive as I am afraid of possibly doing damage to the side yoke.

Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

      Re: C2 HELP

I purchased an air hammer recentley to work off of my compresor.Low pressure just hammering on things really loosen's things up with the repeated hammering.

I never purchased one because I never seen a large need for it.When working on rusted parts it is INVAULEUBLE noisey but it does the job quite well instead of hammering on something

If you dont have axcess to a compressor then Quick SHARP blows to it with a stout controlable lump hammer should do it.Notice I said controlable. No sence having a large hammer only to choke up on it and hit it with baby blows. If you have a nice center punched hole you could always drill it,Some times the heat from drilling and the twisting will losen it

Good luck be safe make sure the car is well supported.A local fellow was recently crushed will working under a car with a bottle jack.the car rolled while on the jack and crushed him.

      Becarefull everyone
