1961/2 Judging Manual

Hello All:

I have an early 62', mfg date 8/30/61, 327/340 with a AFB. My question is the "NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide page 51" states 1962 CARBURETOR CASTING NUMBERS Model 3269s should have a Main Body 0-1481(0-1466 poss very early), if my early car has a correct date (BH1) with a main body casting of 0-1481, is it correct? I read the manual as this being correct.

That's the way I read the manual too -- on early cars (yours is early), carbs 'might' be configured with either casting....

I'm the guy who put that in the 61-2 manual, because of what we saw on very early cars. You are interpreting that correctly--either is acceptable on early cars. (and how early is early?--we're still trying to find more original early cars. If you can send me the VIN on your car, along with any other original date codes on original components, I would happily add that to my file of over 500 62's.
