1968 Engine Harness Ques

Replaced the engine harness on my 68 with a LL one last weekend.

Ques 1. - midway though the harness where the wiper motor wires exit out, there's a black wire with a male pin covered by a plastic cover that plugs into ?

I was thinking that it goes to a ground connection for the wiper motor, but I see no female plug there to receive it.

Ques 2. - the 2 wires that plug into the front of the wiper motor (a purple and yellow (sorry, I can't get to them now to confirm the colors, but they're the only 2 that are seperate and plug into single female plugs behind the black plastic covering), does it matter which color goes to either side?

If anyone could give me some advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Would also appreciate if anyone has some good digital pics of a properly wired wiper motor, and properly routed vacuum hoses (also redid the vacuum hoses).

Lastly, what color should the storage vacuum tank be in a 68, semi gloss black?

I'm not that familiar with the 68-only w/w motor installation; 68 is a little different than 69+. However, I would think that all of your wiring questions would be answered by the wiring schematic contained in the 1968 AIM, 1968 Chassis Service Manual, or the year-specific wiring schematics available from Dr. Rebuild.

As far as the vacuum tank goes, it was painted semi-gloss black.
