Re: '66 Wiper Arms - Synchronizing?
Alex -- Your first problem is that the passenger side wiper arm is the one ON TOP, in the parked position. You'll have to pull the wiper arms off and start again with the driver side nearest the bottom trim (in park). Set the "fine trim screw" on both arms in the neutral postion (true alignment with the base of the arm). Install the passenger side arm last. Adjust the screw(s) to ensure the blades don't collide or sideswipe. If the screws adjustment puts the outer arm at an extreme angle, pull the arm off and install in the next spline groove. Set wipe pattern according to INSTRUCTION SHEET found in ???? My AIM refers to this sheet and I have definitely seen these dimensions in the past, yet I cannot locate this information, even in the '63 Shop Manual. As Jack says, wiper info is scattered all over different sections of the manuals. If anyone can point me in the right location, I'd appreciate this, as I want to do some minor adjustments, myself .
