C1 891 parts vendor

Where can I get parts for a '58 891 distributor? Specifically I need the clamps that hold the distributor cap, lead wire, and grommet. TIA

Lead wire and grommet are available from Paragon or Corvette America. The clamps I have not seen, doesn't mean they are not available, you might try the endors that have used parts, Paragon, Mary jo, Grossmueller's to name a few. Otherwise it's off to the swap meets and junkyards.

Terry, have you purchased the grommet from either vendor and if so is it correct? From the pics it looks like it is for the single point dist where the wire comes through the bottom (i.e. round rather than square like the 891 which comes out the side). Thanks Ted

Roy, I saw the other posts on the 265 and the issues with using an 891. This is for a '58 283. I can find the lead wire in most of the catalogs/vendor sites but I can't find the grommet or the clips that hold the cap on. Any suggestions on where to get 'em? By the way the '56 looks sweeet in the Restorer.

Ted sorry I thought your engine was a 265 , I have what you need, wire grommet and clips. But it's going to cost you BIG-A-BUCKS E-mail me.
