    C1 Registry, not much response

    Hi,

I wonder why there is so littel responce on the C1 Registry postings and the site itself ? I specially made it due to questions on this forum about the absence of such registries for the C1 models (except for '59 and '61 were already available at that time). During the last two weeks we only have 46 cars registered while there must be at least 1000 remaining cars out there.

Wouldn't this site be a great tool helping a lot of people while doing their C1 research ? E.g. it might help a lot to figure out when a certain feature changed or was introduced. You can now ask specific VIN range owners if the feature in question already exist or was changed on their car. The registry only becomes usefull when enough people join!

I wonder how the highly appreciated Mr. Noland Adams and many NCRS members did their research without such registries ?

    greetings,

Rob, I hadn't put my '58 out there because it's still in pretty rough shape. I decided "projects" deserve a spot too so I went ahead and posted it (even pics showing junk stored on it ) Oh well, at least I have it and most of the parts for it

People are reluctant to provide personal information to a public electronic database because of identity theft and privacy concerns.

        Chris,

But you don't have to submit any personal information when you are reluctant to do this. Only your email address is mandatory to create an account but this is not presented to the other users unless an owner is assigned to the car. This info (or adding pictures) are optional...

        greetings,
        Rob.

Just give it time, these thing take a while to catch on. The 59 registry has been around for a longer tiime and still doesn't have a that many listings.

              Rod,
I only just learned of the registry. Today, I entered my car in it, and I'll be looking forward to checking often to see who else has been added. Thanks, Ron
