    '62 Windshield frame

I'm looking at the '62 with repo front end and there is a 1/8" gap between the body and the lower windshield frame trim on the drivers side. Is this something that can be adjusted by removing the windshield frame or will the body need to be built up to close the gap?

1/8 not too abnormal. original c-1 windshield frames i've removed from the cowl area have had a caulking inserted between the two by assembly line workers. mike

This is pretty common. On some I have managed to VERY CAREFULLY tap the trim piece down using a wood dowel and a very light hammer. Do this at your own risk!

Agree with the 2 previous posters. The windshield gap can vary from side to side and car to car - more than you want to think - but that is the fact of the matter. Every once in a while, you run across one that really fits great. At that point, you just count your blessings.

          Thomas...

Check the weatherstrip and make sure if fitted properly at the bottom, I have seen cases were it was holding the frame up on one side and was not seated correctly during bolt down. Each bolt must be tightened a little at a time to draw the frame down evenly.
