I'm putting the hood back on today. The hinges are not attached to either the hood or the inner fenders. I'm assuming it's easier to attach them to the hood first, then the body and adjust both as needed?

Re: '67 BB HOOD INSTALLATION
Rob, I think you should attach them to the inner fenders first, then with help, attach the hood to the hinges and tighten the bolts a little more than finger tight. Carefully lower the hood and if the bolts are just right you'll be able to adjust it and hold that position till you raise it to tighten the bolts up firmly. I did this with a Corvette resto guy and it was easy (for him)
Good luck- Top

Re: '67 BB HOOD INSTALLATION
In addition, take the male latch pins off the hood so you can get the hood centered in the opening without influence from the latches. When you get the hood laying in the opening like you want it, add one pin at a time. You may have to adjust the female latch so it doesn't pull the hood one way or the other. Get one side, then go to the other. A word of caution make SURE you have the female latches centered on the pins before you latch them down. If they are badly misaligned, you can wind up with a hood that is stuck in the latches and very hard to release.- Top
