    Engine Numbers

Where would I go to check the engine number to get all the particulars about the engine?

    Thanks, Jeff Najar

    Several References/More Specific?

    Jeffery,

There are several good reference resources, could you be more specific at to which year model? Tom #24014

        Re: Engine Numbers

The best place to start is by going to the main web site for NCRS' merchandise office in Cincinnati and ordering a copy of the Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide for your MY Corvette. It's inexpensive and takes you by the hand telling a myraid of things NCRS concours judges look for in determining factory authenticity of most every component of your car INCLUDING the 'numbers' mystery of the engine.

PS, once you get into the engine, you'll find virtually every component (generator/alternator, starter, solenoid, carb, Etc.) has 'numbers'. So, the 'numbers matching' game is NOT black & white and it's a lot more complicated than going one place and comparing one item to a table. But, it's a lot of fun!
