    Paging Mike Hunt

Back in the early 80's I worked for an Olds-Toyota dealership in S. FL. We had a 9 leaner working at our switchboard but she wasn't real sharp, if you know what I mean. Anyway, one of the salesmen used to call the switchboard from his desk and ask to have "Mike Hunt" paged. She'd come on over the intercom and page for "Mike Hunt" and all the sales guys would stiffle laughter. There were other names too that I can't recall but I always liked "Mike Hunt" the best. By the way the receptionist never caught on. Small things amuse small minds, as they say.

Some other guys I met in the eighth grade were Ben Dover and Dick Hertz.
There's a hilarious Saturday Night live skit where Robert DiNaro as the head of homeland security is acting on tips from high school kids looking for terrorists like "Hous Bin Farteen" and his brother, "I Bin Pharteen"

              I'm humorless, I guess.

I thought this was a serious request to get in touch with the Mike Hunt who was the '56-7 editor of the Restorer during the late seventies. He conducted a survey of '56-7 Corvettes that gathered a lot of useful information for those of us interested in solid axles.

How about this: if anybody wants to get in touch with the Mike I know, you can call me for his address. My number is in my profile, and Jerry Bramlett is my real name.

Nah, I figured the same as you.

I did realize the double meaning of it, however. And yes, you were very thoughtful to give the contract information for Mike. Don't feel bad that you were the only one that wanted to give a strainght answer, which was also the one he wanted.

                    Don't forget Colonel Lingus

A genteel Southern Civil War Colonel, also a very funny SNL skit.
