    '67 ENGINE BREAK IN/OIL CHANGE

I have about 20 miles on my rebuilt, '67 big block engine and it still has the straight 30W oil I used to break it in. When should I change the oil to get rid of whatever assembly lube is mixed with the oil.(I used the lube that came with the crane cam and lifters) It never gets colder than around 45 degrees here in southern california. What multi-weight would be recommended? (It is a stock rebuild, original cam specs, rocker arms, push rods, etc., if that matters)

    Rob -

Change the oil and filter now to get rid of the assembly lube in the filter media; I'd go with any brand-name 10W30.
