This is an Article I wrote in 1987 after seeing so many Corvettes leaking gas. Just thought I would put it up here if any one has this problem . Has any one done this Corvair Turbo kit to their Vett?

All the original Corvette YH needle valves that I've seen are the 3 piece "spring loaded" ones. I've seen the solid ones in Corvairs and other applications. The solid one piece ones sure won't work in a Corvette. LEAK like a sieve. Chuck

most carbs have these spring loaded type of needles avaiable for off road use. when we raced 4 cylinder cavalier engines with holley 2 barrel carbs we use these type needles because of the viberation. all off road motorcycle carbs use this type also.

If you've seen spring needles,it may be because I wrote about them many years ago and many owners changed them . But original needles were solid and not spring loaded.That is the reason I'm rewriting this for new owners that don't know this yet.
