    C3 1970 Side Lights

Replaced the flasher unit and my side lights (turn signals) still don't flash. All the lights are on but they don't blink. Any ideas? Thanks

By side lights, do you mean the side marker lights? They dont blink on a 70, only the lights in the grilles.

Don which flasher unit did you change? The flasher unit that is located at your 70's fuse block is for the emergency flashers. Turn on your emergency flashers and check verify all your bulbs work. The flasher unit that flashes the turn signals is located on the passenger side and is easier to change. This flasher is round and fits into a spring tensioned steel clip that retains around the circumference of the round flasher. It has been mentioned before about making sure that the extra resister components are installed between the plug connector and the new flasher are installed correctly.
If you can manually make the turn signals flash using the turn signal switch lever, this function pretty much identifies the flasher no functioning.
