Does anyone know if a body dolly built for a midyear can be used for a C-3? I know the frame is essentially the same but I am concerned about that long front end.

I pretty much assumed as much. On my '63 I supported the front end with metal angle attached at the radiator support location.- Top

Re: Shark Body Dolly
After I realized my front end was being overstressed with only a small dolly to support the center four body mounts, I designed a near full-length dolly out of 2" X 12" lumber that can be used either with the frame (for body work) or without the frame (for painting).
When the frame is under the body (shimmed, bolted and torqued of course), it is supported by the dolly cross members. When the body is on the dolly without the frame, the six rear mounts are supported by 4" X 4" columns bolted to the outside of the dolly perimeter, and the radiator support is supported by an added cross member. Body height remains the same with or without the frame.- Top
