C1 starter judging- p/n date code needed?

In my old judging manual it gives starter p/n and dates codes but then says they will not be judged.

In the new one it does not make that statement.

Does this mean they changed the requirement? Do I need to match date and p/n?

I will still try to but will not put the highest priority in the short term since it is relatively easy to change starters.

For to many years I have advised others to correct or BUY the original part and either add it on their vett or at least buy it and store it. Only a hand full of them ever did so. When it was cheaper and easier to find the parts. Their answer was ( why when it's not being judged) . My answer was that some day it will . You guessed it , later those same parts were being judged and now the same part was hard to find and the price went sky high. Even to day I say the same thing to people I meet and get the same answer as above. So weather you add the part or not box it, and collect what parts you know are right for the future , and for when you sell your vett.
Also I buy extra original parts for my 55 that I find to keep on hand because I drive my Corvette and some day I may need them.
