I'm trying to determine the exact location of the small tightening bolts on the sunvisors of my 60. The previous owner replaced the visors but omitted the bolts. Now the visors are "lazy". I have purchased the bolts from CCentral but before I go drilling into the visors I want to be sure of the correct location. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: '60 sunvisors
Hi Jerry, I can only offer what my 62 screw locations look like. All for screws are located fairly close to the inboard and outboard edges of the visors. There is roughly 3/16" of vinyl material showing between the outer edge of the ferrule or washers, and the edges of the visors. I wouldn't be surprised that these installations varied with the attitude and personality of any given installer on any given day, which seems to be typical of Corvette Assembly Personnel. Best I can tell, is that the main difference between the 60/61 and 62 visors is your 60 screws should be installed from the front side of the visor (with the visor in the up position) such that the nuts show from the drivers view. Ref: Noland Adams book, page 324. Also interesting to note is that visors in 1960 were an RPO option. Hope this helps....Dick- Top
