For the reproduction window sticker, try Triple A Enterprises at window-sticker.com. As far as I know, if you can't find a build sheet on the gas tank, in a seat, or behind the dash of the car, you can't get one.

      Charlie and Tom------

Yes, Triple A (www.window-sticker.com) is the source for the reproduction window stickers for 1953-81 (St. Louis) Corvettes. Window stickers for 1981 (Bowling Green) through the current model year are available from GM Bowling Green records through the National Corvette Museum.

Recently, a source for reproduction build sheets/tank stickers has "emerged". I saw an advertisement within the last few months but I can't find it now.

I was wondering if there isn't a clearing house or some place that I could give my serial # to and they could give me the info. If not how do I get to the tank sticker? Or where would the build sheet be on the seats or DASH. This IS MY FIRST CORVETTE and I am trying to learn as much about it as possible.

        Thanks for your help

          Tom-----

Unless the car is a Bowling Green-built Corvette (1981+), there currently are no "clearing houses" or other sources for the information by simply providing a VIN number. Bowling Green built cars can obtain such information from a VIN through the National Corvette Museum.

As far as locating and finding a build sheet/tank sticker, you should first check to see if one is even present on the top of the fuel tank. To do this you will need to open the fuel door, pull the black rubber seal (boot) aside so that you can look on the top LEFT side of the tank. Peering in to the space between the rear deck and the fuel tank with the aid of a flashlight, you should be able to see if a paper label still resides on the top of the tank. If so, you will need to drop the tank to read and inspect the sticker. DO NOT ATTEMPT to retrieve the sticker, if it's still there, through the fuel door opening or by reaching up around the tank from below. The sticker, if present, will be extremely fragile and any attempt to retrieve it by means other than dropping the tank will likely destroy it for all time.

If there is no tank sheet present, you may still find a copy of the same document tucked up under the dash somewhere or, sometimes, under the carpet.

            Addendum

            Tom-----

I should also have mentioned since you didn't advise as to the year of your car that build sheets were not applied to the top of the tanks until early in the 1967 model year. So, if your car is an older model, there will NOT be a build sheet on the tank and you don't even need to try looking for one there.

There is the occasional car with the sticker on the RIGHT hand side. I know. I've seen one. So make sure you check around. In addition, there may be enough dirt on top of the tank and sticker you can't tell what's there.

I was able to feel mine from below by reaching up the front of the tank and over the top. I didn't say it was easy, though.
