I have new trailing arms and bearings for my 66. Is this something I could do myself, they are apart already. People are telling me they are hard to put back together. Are they hard to do, do you need special tools, and where would I find the specs for them?

Re: Trailing Arm Bearings on C2
David,
To accomplish this task correctly you would need to purchase or borrow a lot of special tools.
Do yourself a favor and hire a professional. It would be a lot cheaper to hire someone who does this for a living.

Having the right toys for the job is eveything Dave.
The usual parts vendors sell the special tool to set them up for around $100.00 or, if you have a good sized press you could also get the job done.
Properly flaring out the bushing collar aroung the washer is the "BEAR" part.
The $100.00 for that probable one time use tool can go a long ways towards paying the freight to have them done professionally.
All depends on your confidence level.
Hope this helps Dave,
