Have you heard of this one? Sitting in the house and the horn goes off in my 1970 corvette. I unplugged it, checked with a meter and am getting full time voltage to the plug. Its not the contact inside of the car because I checked it. Is it shorting out somewhere? Hope somebody has experienced the same thing. Thanks

Re: 1970 Horn Wont Stop
The contact in the horn button is a ground. Somewhere between the horn button and the horn relay, the wire is apparently grounded. Other possibility is that the horn relay has malfunctioned, but hard to imagine it doing it all by itself. disconnect teh ground wire from the relay.(sorry, I don't have a C3 wiring diagram to tell you which one) If the horn stops blowing, there's a short in the switch or wire. If not, it's probably the relay.- Top
