Re: Two more Restorer issues per year?

I'd like to see 2 more Restorer's per year and to be frank the Driveline has not proven to be a timely source of parts for me . I'm one of those folks who get it real late. Maybe it's time to consider using the Net for the Driveline ads. I know this won't seem fair to those who don't has access to a PC but the format is much more timely and the Restorer issue count could be increased without impacting the Driveline. If I just had to vote and not comment My vote would be to increase the Restorer issue count and combine the Driveline in the mailing as a seperate document. Rich #2276

I would much prefer the six combined issues per year. Driveline is only of help when I'm looking for parts. I'm always looking to learn more from the Restorer!

I kind of like the idea of 6 combined issues/year. Aren't 6 bigger mailings cheaper than 10 small ones for NCRS? And if I am not the only person that sometimes has US Mail delivery problems, we mignt have a better chance of getting 6 mailings than 10 (but if I miss getting one of the 6, I would miss out on both the Driveline and Restorer sections - all eggs in one basket?).

At any rate, I like some of Jerry's ideas for expanded articles, columns, items, etc. I also like the idea of a pullout section or somthing for the Driveline part as folks want to save the Restorer (I save the Driveline like Jerry, but may have to start getting rid of them eventually as space permits). The Driveline items could also be at the very end of the mag, so that marking them up, etc. would not affect the Restorer section. Good idea, worth considering, modifying, bouncing around.

My vote would be to drop the Driveline hardcopies, put the ads online, and use the extra $$$ for additional Restorers. I find the Driveline ads of limited use, at best, due to the slow delivery rate.

I Would like to see two more issues of the Restorer. The Restorer is informative, enlightening and provides a plethora of knowledge which is useful to anyone and everyone involved in the infinitely expanding world of Corvette restoration. Furthermore, by the time I receive my copy of Driveline, it is out dated and the items I happened to be interested in are sold. Like J. Bramlett proposed earlier, I would also like to see more photos of member vehicles, listings and photos of available GM parts as well as a Letters to the editor section. Combining The Restorer and Driveline would be OK with me and would seemingly make my restoration library larger.

                          DL on-line

I like the idea of putting the DL on-line. Would provide more timely information, and with search function, my eyes would not be crossed after reading. Would not have to be open to public, access could be tied to member name and number. Printed DL could be maintained or dropped, depending upon its continued interest/demand. Submitted ads (submitted online or by mail) would still need to go through a review process before being posted, in otherwords no direct postings to the ads section.

The Restorer has information that is useful years down the road, the Driveline does not. I would like to see the two as separate entities, though I don't care how I receive them (separate or combined mailings).
