Re: '57 washer motor interchangeable?
gary: think you are referring to the wiper motor, not the washer motor. the electric wiper motors off shoe-box chevy pass cars will interchange and function but the part # stamped on the cover plate will cost points of ncrs judging field. mike- Top

Re: '57 washer motor your WASHER motor
Roy, I replaced the wiper motor that was in my 56 when I first got it with the correct one. Do you know what application 5047905 wiper motor is for? It is a single speed motor.Jay at Capital thought it might be for a 57 pass car but it's not listed above. The cable configuration at the motor end was also a mystery to him.
I too find your trivia post very informative. Please keep them coming.

Re: '57 washer motor your "ROB"
Rob! I don't know much concerning numbers. other members are, I'm in to design changes like first, second and third. I have trouble remembering my phone number. But may be this will help you for 56. The early 56 vett's I've seen have the same wiper motor as a 55 and also the heater unit. But early 56.

Re: '57 washer motor your "ROB"
Thanks Roy, I replaced the 905 with a 924 that the JG calls for. I'd sure like to find out what the 905 is for. The cable had Jay stumped. He even showed it to some Pont. and Olds. people and they all came up blank. The consensus was that it may be some sort of early Trico replacement cable. Someone may be needing the 905 set up for whatever it's for.
