I've been away from NCRS for 9 years while starting SACE for the C1's ,that is now SACC. which I now have nothing to do with SACC any more. I would have thought that NCRS and members new all this info. I like the chat room here and thought new members may be interested in the little things I bring to the chat room. I've worried that NCRS or members may not like me doing these little Trivia's . If it's not in the judging manual and not being judged, no one may care about them . That was the reason I started SACE.I may be making a mistake saying this?

Re: My thoughts about these Trivia's
Gary, I agree 110%!! Roy, I have saved several of your "trivia bits" and have put them in a restoration notebook for future use. I for one would hate to see them stop! Thanks so much for sharing this great information!! Please keep them coming!

Re: My thoughts about these Trivia's
Roy,
I really enjoy them as well. I have learned a couple of things I was never aware of, like the two different styles of striker plates. There are a lot of items like this that a lot of us never knew since we were allways focused on our particular model year. This a great forum to also questin the status quo of the judging standards. There are some items that have been in the JG that are pretty obvious to those who focus on particular model years as incorrect.

Re: My thoughts about Jimmy
Jimmy kid napped me from the NCRS meet in Copper mountain Co. many years ago to see a 55 Corvette he said he had.
After spending two days driving all around Denver to find where he kept pieces of the 55 and many other parts stored in his cellar,, he had the Gaul to ask way more then it was worth .( I demand a refund on some of my money) If it weren't for all the booze he pored down me , I would be off welfare by now. have been stuck with this old 55 now for many years. Thanks Jimmy! hope you got stuck with an old Corvette C1 or C2 Also.
Thank you all for your responding post. Thanks again ROY

Re: My thoughts about these Trivia's
I love these things. Keep them coming. This is what the NCRS Restorer was like when I joined NCRS in 1974. Thank you for taking the time to post these things. They're great.- Top

Re: My thoughts about these Trivia's
I agree, keep the articles coming. Even though I prefer 61-62 models I have found the articles both interesting and informative. I would just hope some of the other very knowledgable people would do the same with other years. If this information is not passed on to younger generations if could well be lost. Jusy my 2 cents.

Re: My thoughts about these Trivia's
I saw the carburator fix for the '55 stalling out on left turns. I fixed mine due to this post and now my car does not stall and is safer because of it. Keep em coming. As repayment for the advice I still would be willing to take those rusty old wire wheels that you have on your car off your hands. Thanks again.- Top
