    C1 Windshield question

I have pulled the windshield off of my '59 and was cleaning the silicone off the top of the car body. I noticed that I have 3 phillips screw heads going into the fiberglass body. One is dead center and the other two are about a foot off center. I am assumming that someone put them there to support the brace that is under the dash. It looks like it may be the windshield lower frame that these screws go into (the one under the console).
I have checked the AIM and can't locate these screws or what type they should be. I do see bolts on sheet 10.00 Sect. B but they look like they are on the inside of the console not on top of it.
It seems odd to have 3 phillips heads under the windshield frame and then having the frame tightened on the ends on top of these. Seems like a lot of stress would be created. I am thinking of getting these out and using some type of t heads, (probably the old windshield frame bolts which are now spares) and inserting them into the same holes.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lee

It's been a while since I had a ws frame off, but I don't remember any screws. Sort of sounds like these may have been added. Usuall the factory used rivets in a situation like this.
