'56 '57 Correct battery placement

I was looking at the picture on page 58 of the battery setup in my 1956 1957 NCRS Technical Information and Judging Guide, and the picture appears to be incorrect in that the "forward" arrow is pointing the wrong way. The battery in my '57 has the negative post on the inward or motor side and forward of the yellow battery caps. Is this correct?....thanks

Rex,the copy on P58 of our manual is correct, the battery picture on P58 of our Tech Info. manual and Judging Guide was evidently picked up from the picture in the 1956-1957 assembly manual Sec. 12, Sheet 2.00, note the date of this drawings entry is 9-15-55.

John, thanks for your response....I took the page to the car to compare... and you are absolutely right as usual. In my feeble mind, I was picturing the tray inside the frame thus making the picture look backwards...Thanks again...Rex

Just got done doing that used a good heat gun and laquer thinner
P.S. rather poke my eyeballs out then do that again
