    1967 350hp intake baffle

    Happy V day!
I have a #3890940 aluminum intake for my 327, and was told this is the correct part for a 66-67 327 350hp. It has no oil baffle riveted on the bottom. I took off the old, oil baffle from beneath the cast iron intake with a screw driver and hammer(gently). The part is interchangeable, I think, as the holes line up with the aluminum one. The rivets are hard to find, as most of them were damaged in the process. Paragon tells me they have some in their vintage parts supply warehouse. Where could one find these? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you much!

    Justin-----

The studs are not hard to find if you know where to look for them and what to ask for. In this case, the "where to look for them" is your GM dealer. The "what to ask for" is GM #10229247. 58 cents/each, GM list. Your local dealer may or may not stock them.

Notwithstanding the above, I don't recommend the use of these studs. I prefer to drill and tap the holes in the manifold bottom for machine screws. Install these with Loctite. Use a size machine screw which results in the need to perform minimum drill-out in order to tap. As I recall, it's a #8 or #10 machine screw.

      Joe,
Thank you much for the info. I have Courtesy Chevrolet just up in Thousand Oaks about 20 minutes away. As always, your advice is speedy, specific, and to the point, awesome!

This is a ...490 intake and Joe's method works very well. I overkill on the sheet metal screws with a touch of blue LocTite but that is not necessary.
