Again if your assembling a parts car or needing steering parts you should know what your getting or have. Many know the difference between PITMAN arms 52-55 and 56-62, but not the drag links ( see pic right side is 53 to 55 longer the the 56 to 62 drag link). Then I often see the drag link installed backwards causing interference with the radiator lower shielding (long end connects to the pitman arm).
I just drove a friends vett and it wondered left and right with to much play in the steering wheel so when we got back to his home I checked the drag link and it was worn . I adjust the ends till all play is gone , then turn it 1/2 more and add the cotter pin. Hope this may keep some one from buying the wrong parts.
