Here's a few....
Guess I first have to ask why this info is pertinent on this board. It took me better than 1/2-hour of sifting through old AC-Delco Application books to find a few examples for you....
First, the 'D' suffix points to a particular revision level of the voltage regulator that you would expect to find in the late '50/early '60 era. Second, Delco Remy sold to MANY non-GM users that include tractors, large over-the-road and specialty truck firms. So, a number of the 'where used' applications aren't very important to factory concours Corvette discussions.
But, you'd expect to find a 1119003D voltage regulator factory installed on:
(1) 1959 & 60 Chevrolet Canada 6 & 8-cylinder passenger cars, without PS option.
(2) 1959 & 60 Chevrolet Canada trucks (certain configurations in the 30-Series and up arena
(3) 1959 & 60 Pontiac Canada 6 & 8-cylinder passenger cars, withot PS option.- Top

Uncle Jack,
You must have grown up in the South. I think you are more of a Southern Gentleman than I am. You seem to always provide the exact information everyone is to lazy to look for. Maybe someday the NCRS will give you a nice plaque for your tireless efforts to help others. Take care.

Re: C1 Voltage Regulator
The 1119001d and 1119002d or e are the original regulators called out in the tm/J-guide,dependant of engine used. But for the e-bay sellers good fortune the GM parts book lists newer regulators(dependant on what year book for what part#) that have a wider range or can be adjusted to work for that application, but are replacement parts. The 1119003 is listed in the 58 GM parts book as 30 amp for all 55-58 corvette, but since the one you saw was dated May 61,its aservice part.
But after a aftermarket rebuilder gets a regulator it can be anything besides or including its stamped use.As with many electrical parts. alts, gens starters.

Craig
I'm not so sure it's a matter of laziness as much as a lot of people don't know where to look this info up, that's why they ask here. Maybe you should just tell us and then we won't have to ask.

Hey Terry,
My post wasn't meant as a put down to anyone. I know Jack and I was just joshing with him. He has in the past and always will in the future help any member or even nonmember that asks for his help. I am sorry if I offended anyone.

Re: Here's a few....
No offense taken, just thought if their was someplace, other than ones own private collection of old manuals, for this info to be looked up, everyone should know about. It is a shame that all this valuable info is not someplace where it can be accessed by the masses.

Great idea !.. an online NCRS part number
data base for members only!
Hit the drop down selections for your built date/component selection and Wahlaa!!
System spits out your part number...
Hmmm....
Any "web masters" out there up for this?
Naturally, we would want to start for July built 63s
