C2 Gas Tank Install

I have a new tank from Quanta and new anti-squeek pads, straps, supports and bolts. However, when trying to get it all together. the straps seem to be abut an inch short. I can't get the bolts through the tank support. I've tried several different things but apparently don't have it sitting correctly.
Could anyone recommend a few tips here?

You might try using longer bolts until you get the straps to "pull down" and "conform" to the tank. Then, after you get this done, you should be able to remove the longer bolts and install the correct bolts.

I did exactly what Joe Lucia is suggesting. Make sure you tighten down the longer bolts when you install them to pull the straps into shape. After you remove the longer bolts, the correct length ones can be installed easily.
