Why doesn't anyone carry a factory service manual for this car? None of the major parts suppliers seem to have it. Is it combined with another year or something?

To get the complete factory manual "package" for a 1977, you need the 1974 Chevrolet Service Manual PLUS the 1977 Supplement. You can get the 1974 manual from the NCRS bookstore for $35. That will give you about 75% of what you need.
The 1977 supplement is out of print at the current time. You can obtain a 1976 supplement for $20. The 76 supplement will probably give you about another 15% of what you need. So, between the 2, you'll have about 90% of the information that you need. Otherwise, you can look for a 1977 supplement from used automotive publications dealers or on eBay.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
