1970 Windshield Wiper Motor

Have removed mine from the car. Does anyone know how to bench test it? I am thinking that I connect power to the plug that accepts the lead from the wiper deck lid switch and then supply a ground. Does this sound right? Thanks in advance.

Hi Don.

That sounds right, double check the wire jump hook ups.

Did that for my 68 wiper motor, and it fired right up.

Unfortunately, the drive gear mechanism for the wiper blades mechanism was screwed up, so I still had to get a new motor.
